Head of Local History, Genealogy & Special Collections
Ms. Hull has been employed at the Plainfield Public Library since 2008. She has an M.A. in Medieval Studies from Fordham University and an M.S. in Library and Information Science from Simmons College, with a concentration in Archives Management. She has been working as a professional librarian and archivist for over eleven years, including seven years in information services and fundraising. Sarah is responsible for managing the Library’s archive and special collections, supervising the department staff, archive volunteers and student interns, grant writing, as well helping with patron assistance.
She also assists with the creation and maintenance of the department’s web pages, online exhibits, and online image collections browser. She is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) and the New Jersey Library Association (NJLA), and is currently the editor for "The Chronicle," the quarterly newsletter of the NJLA History & Preservation Section.
