Joan Cansdale
Joan Cansdale has been an employee of the Plainfield Public Schools since 1994 and is currently the Secondary Supervisor of English Language Arts and Social Studies. Prior to holding this position, she was a middle school teacher of ELA and Performing Arts. Joan completed her undergraduate work at Montclair State and earned an M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an M.Ed. from The College of New Jersey. She is a doctoral candidate in the Ed.D. Teacher Leadership program at the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education, with an expected completion date of Fall 2020. Joan and her family have been Plainfield residents since 1987.
