Job Search Terms & Conditions

1. Clients must be at least 18 years of age or older.
2. Use of this service does not imply or guarantee that you will receive an offer of employment. 
3. Clients can only submit their own personal data. 
4. Any information received by a representative of Plainfield Public Library, will be kept confidential as per N.J.S.A. 18A:73-43.2, other than the specific exceptions in the statute and those listed below.
5. The majority of the funding for the provision of this service comes from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development under the Community Library and Adult Literacy Grant. To be compliant with the terms of funding, the Plainfield Public Library must provide them the following information for clients served. 
   • Your name
   • Phone Number or E-mail
   • When you used the service
   • Information directly related to your job search and its outcome. (Were you successful, where are you now employed, have you enrolled in additional training, etc.)
6. The Plainfield Public Library may also use client data stripped of all personal identifiers to report usage and demographic statistics.
7. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Plainfield Public Library (and its directors, employees and agents) from and against any third party claims, actions or demands (including, without limitation, costs, damages and reasonable legal and accounting fees) alleging or resulting from or in connection with your use of our services, any document posted by you, your use of the Services or your breach of this Agreement.  
8. The Plainfield Public Library reserves the right to suspend or terminate this service to individual clients due to abusive behavior, unreasonable demands, violations of this agreement or other similar reasons. Instances of service termination will be reviewed by Library administration for appropriateness. 
9. By completing and signing this form, you are agreeing to the terms above and authorizing the Job Coaches/Job Search Assistance team to review your information and give you recommendations to meet your employment goals. This service does not guarantee that you will obtain employment.
